This website will be a conduit for official announcements, independent news, video, tweets and information surrounding the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup, which commences in India on 31 January 2013. Keep a close eye on the Calendar page for further information as well as regular updates.
It is intended that this site will be active only for the duration of the World Cup and a short time afterwards. Its fate beyond that will depend very much on your feedback and support.
The original Cricketwoman.com was established by me in September 2001 and intended as a news, scores and information website devoted to women’s cricket worldwide at a time when the ICC was yet to become responsible for the women’s game. Once the ICC took full responsibility for women’s cricket in 2005 Cricketwoman’s role faded until closed down in 2008. Items from the period 2006 to 2008 are online here.
