Newcastle to Hamilton 2009

Knowing that this experience was set to be taken away from us by a cocktail of state governments and property developers, I poked my camera out the window on a train ride from Newcastle to Hamilton late on a Sunday afternoon in January 2009. The Newcastle line was closed on Christmas night 2014 and now terminates and what was previously known as Wickham Station. A light rail line was built to replace the last stages of the old Newcastle line. Has the promised economic boost to the inner city ever happened?

Sydney Film Festival, twitter reviews 2009

With 2009 being the year I discovered Twitter, I began dabbling in tweet-size reviews from that year's Sydney Film Festival. Only 140 characters per tweet in those days, of course.
